But it is not so, even a low budget movie can achieve heights of success if the plot and cast are promising. 1. Taare Zameen Par

This movie released in the year 2007 and is one of the lowest budget movies of Bollywood. This movie was made with a budget of 1.3 crores and successfully collected 89 crores after its release on box-office.

2. Paan Singh Tomar

This movie was based on the true story of an athlete who later became a dacoit. This movie showed the best acting skills of Irrfan Khan and Nawazuddin Khan and this movie was made with a budget of 4.5 crores and collected 40 crores on box-office.

3. Kahaani

This was one of the best movies of Vidya Balan and the story was also very promising, this movie was made with a budget of 8 crores and successfully collected 78 crores on box-office.

4. Vicky Donor

Vicky Donor was the debut movie of both Ayushmann Khuranna and Yami Gautam and yet this movie collected 65 crores on box office and this movie was made with a budget of 5 crores.

7. Toilet Ek Prem Katha

This movie was completely based on a different plot and was loved by everyone worldwide, this movie captured every beauty in a different way. This movie was made with a budget of 18 crores and yet collected 212 crores on box-office.

8. English Vinglish

English Vinglish was Sridevi’s comeback movie and this movie performed phenomenally well at the box-office. This movie was made with a budget of 11 crores and successfully collected 78 crores on box-office.

9. Aashiqui 2

This was Shraddha and Aditya Roy Kapoor’s debut movie and this performed way better than expected. This movie was made with a budget of 9 crores and collected 109 crores on box-office.

10. Peepli Live

Though many people would not be aware of this movie, this movie was one of the best movies under Aamir Khan’s production. This movie collected 40 crores on box-office with a budget of 10 crores.
